Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using Framlit (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

Framlit is an AI-assisted video creation platform focused on editable Remotion motion graphics. The Service enables users to:

• Generate Remotion video code through natural language prompts and uploaded assets
• Preview generated videos in the browser
• Make editable copies and adjust visible text, image, and shape layers when conversion succeeds
• Record drag paths and motion adjustments as Remotion motion data
• Render and export videos, subject to plan limits and fair-use controls

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Promptly update your information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4.1 Subscription Plans

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Paddle checkout. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record for payment, tax, receipts, and payment security. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.

4.2 Free Plan

You can start with the free plan to try Framlit before upgrading. No credit card is required for the free plan.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Profile page. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your paid plan until the end of your current billing period. Your credits will be preserved even after switching to the free plan.

4.4 Credit Purchases

Credits purchased as top-ups are added to your account after Paddle confirms the transaction. Credits reflect paid provider usage such as Claude generation, vision/image services, narration, editable conversion, and repair runs. Credits are non-transferable between accounts and are subject to our Refund Policy.

4.5 Paddle Buyer Terms

Purchases through Paddle may also be subject to Paddle's buyer terms, tax rules, payment verification, and refund processing requirements.

4.6 Price Changes

We may change our prices at any time. Price changes for subscriptions will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle after notice is provided.

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Create content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
• Transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or collect data without permission
• Share your account credentials with others
• Resell access to the Service without authorization

6.1 Our Content

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Framlit and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create using the Service (“User Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content as necessary to provide the Service.

6.3 Generated Code and Templates

You may use videos and code you create with Framlit for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and any rights in assets you upload. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense Framlit's underlying service, private templates, or proprietary tooling as a standalone product.

Framlit uses AI to help generate video code. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may not always be accurate or suitable for your needs
• You are responsible for reviewing and modifying AI-generated code
• AI outputs may occasionally produce similar results for different users
• We do not guarantee the uniqueness of AI-generated content

8.1 How We Use Your Data to Improve AI

To improve the quality of our AI-generated video code, we may collect and analyze:

• Text prompts you submit to generate or modify video code
• The AI-generated code outputs
• Metadata about video format and configuration
• Usage patterns such as whether code was successfully rendered

This data helps us train and fine-tune our AI models to provide better, more accurate code generation for all users.

8.2 Data Protection

We take the following measures to protect your data:

• Data is stored securely with industry-standard encryption
• Personal identifiers are separated from training data
• We do not share raw user data with third parties for their own purposes
• Training data is used solely to improve Framlit's AI capabilities

8.3 Your Choice

You may contact us at support@framlit.app to ask about limiting use of your content for internal product improvement. This does not affect service logs that we must keep for security, billing, debugging, or legal reasons.

You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. In case of termination for cause, you will not be entitled to a refund.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• The Service is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Framlit and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you create or upload

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, Korea.
